Gardening may be the best way to understand nutrition.

The garden is a great teacher.

Julie has been gardening for more than 50 years. In that time she has discovered strategies that can make a garden great. The term "gardener" is really shorthand for multi-skilled problem solver, activist, and most of all — optimist!

Her clinical work with hTMA has provided a comprehensive understanding of how nutrient minerals (specifically their interrelationships) impact human health. In her garden, the emphasis is squarely on soil health. By combining mineral balancing with other soil enhancement techniques, the results have been amazing! Higher quality veggies have benefits that go beyond their improved flavor and nutritional value. For example, resistance to insect damage – bugs aren't attracted to healthly plants. Most disease is reduced, if not eliminated altogether. With proper storage conditions, these super-veggies store much longer (e.g. fresh carrots up to 4 months).

Also playing a crucial role in Julie's gardening success stories are the unsung women behind the scenes — her beloved chickens! A healthy flock of these wonderful birds provide multiple benefits:

  1. Excellent soil augmentation ‘products.’
  2. Spring prep, and fall garden clean-up.
  3. Countless hours of screen-free entertainment for young and old!
  4. Natures most perfect food — the egg.
